What’s in a name
Stone Cottage Apothecary was born from my love of candles and creating a cozy home. The business was named after the place I grew up, and the place where my love of candles began - an old stone cottage built in the early 1900s that sits peacefully in the middle of farmland in Western Pennsylvania.
When I set out to start Stone Cottage Apothecary, I wanted to create the kind of candles that I’d want to use in my own home. Beautiful candles that blend seamlessly with my decor, but that are also safe for my kids and pets to be around. With this mission in mind, I was determined to craft the cleanest, best smelling candle, using only the highest quality ingredients. A product I could truly be proud to stand behind and one that I hope you will fall in love with too.
Stone Cottage Apothecary products are all hand-made in small batches right here in Wheeling, WV.
